    Yolli cake dowels for tiered cakes are made from premium quality materials directly the UK. The cake dowels are made from brilliant white food grade polystyrene material.
    The plastic dowels for cakes have no odour, are certified food grade and can easily be cut down to your preferred size using kitchen scissors or a serrated knife. Due to the cake dowels plastic construction they can easily be washed and reused time and time again.
    Cake dowels are used primarily to give your multi tier cake support and strength. Each baking rod helps to add additional support to the tier above.
    The plastic cake dowels should be arranged in a symmetrical shape inside your cake to give even support to the tiers above.
    Each cake dowel can be easily inserted directly into the cake. The typical arrangement is to have cake dowels in a circle around the edge of the cake with a central cake rod.
    Multiple cake supports will typically be required in each tier to give optimal strength. Our cake support rods are available in 2 sizes, 12 inch x 6mm and 8inch x 6mm.
