  • Condition: Hi folks, the BIN is for 2 of the hinges pictured with no fasteners. I have other sizes similar to these also listed. These are handmade so they will not be precise size or shape. These were probably made by a blacksmith or early metal shop and most likely date to the early to mid 1800's or possibly even earlier and would really set off any distressed box or trunk you have or made you used them on. The likelihood of you ever coming across hinges like these again are slim at best. You can see a ghost shadow on some where a rivet or nail or screw was used in the small holes. I'm not sure what these were used on. I'm guessing the thickness at about 1/32”. All have rust and pitting and bends. But they are still very sturdy. The approximate measurements are 7” x 2 3/8” at its widest part and that could be off up to 1/16” from one hinge to another. I think if you have a project you can use these on they will give it extra eye appeal. My pictures are large so you can see what you're getting.

    Description

IF I MAKE A MISTAKE IT MAY COST YOU A LITTLE TIME
    BUT NEVER ANY
    $$$
The price of an item is important but it's not everything. As my father would say "
don't be penny wise and pound foolish!"
NOTE: Be very careful when buying antique hardware. I'm seeing more reproductions showing up at flea markets and sales
    than
ever before. Remember, if it's too good to be true....

About half of what I sell on eBay is antique hardware most of which I bought before eBay was even someone's dream. First I bought it for the Victorian home I had and then I just started buying it because I liked it.
I will COMBINE SHIPPING when possible.
    GUARANTEE

I don't ship with newspaper and a prayer; I use quality materials and care. Newspaper is only used as filler but never as the main source of protection.
    NOTE:
I don't know if this came from a smoke free home or not. The fact is almost all antiques came out of a home that someone smoked in at one time.
